VPTL Seed Grant Program Announced for the 2014 - 2015 Academic Year

The Office of the Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning (VPTL) is now offering a new seed grant program for the 2014-15 academic year. The first seed grant program (then offered by the office of the Vice Provost for Online Learning between Summer 2012 through Spring 2014) was designed to broadly promote innovative teaching and learning activities at Stanford. Eighty-one grants were funded for projects from each of the seven schools.

Digital tools, including a free, public online manuscript training course, are allowing English professor and medieval manuscript scholar Elaine Treharne to share her expertise well beyond traditional classroom walls.

Stanford forms new Office of the Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning

By combining resources of the Center for Teaching and Learning, parts of Academic Computing Services, the CourseWork engineering team and the Office of the Vice Provost for Online Learning, the new organization will provide better coordination between groups that support teaching, learning and reaching learners online.

New Seed Grant Program Announced for the 2014-2015 Academic Year

The Office of the Vice Provost for Online Learning (VPOL) is now offering a new seed grant program for the 2014-15 academic year. The first seed grant program (which was offered Summer 2012 through Spring 2014) was designed to broadly promote innovative teaching and learning activities at Stanford. As a result, VPOL has provided 81 grants and, overall, has helped 247 faculty and instructors produce 372 course projects covering subjects from each of Stanford's seven schools.
