The Office of the Vice Provost for Online Learning provides support for pedagogy, content production, and web delivery. These resources are available on request for both on-campus and public courses.
Learn more about the online learning team in the About section of the online learning website and register for additional information by joining the online learning mailing list (Stanford faculty and staff only). Email questions may be sent to Amy Collier, who leads VPOL's Pedagogy Team.
Faculty or staff interested in offering a public online course should register their interest at http://bit.ly/StanfordFacOnlineCourse at least two months in advance of a potential launch date. Normally, public courses will be launched once per quarter, subject to various considerations. Faculty developing online courses will be asked to sign a Course Development Agreement (CDA) and should allow enough lead time to work out copyright, accessibility, and other issues.
