Master's Degrees
Through the Honors Cooperative Program (HCP), you’ll take the same courses and earn the same master’s degree as Stanford full-time, residential students on a part-time basis.
Flexible
- Enroll in programs that combine online and on-campus courses, or choose degree programs that can be completed entirely online
- Choose to attend classes and office hours in-person, mingling with other full-time and part-time master’s degree candidates, or
- Attend courses and office hours in real-time online or on-demand
- Switch between part-time and full-time status (up to two times)
Part-time
- Continue to work full-time
- Take as few as 3 units per quarter – about one class – while most full-time students enroll in 2-3 courses per quarter
- Spend up to five academic years to complete 45 quarter units
Stanford Master’s Degree
- Learn from faculty who are passionate about sharing the results of their pioneering research and real-world insights
- Progress quickly by applying up to 18 credits from graduate certificate programs
- Gain status as a fully-matriculated Stanford student, including access to libraries and other campus events
- Enroll in on-campus courses outside your program, in any field
