In the Robotics and Autonomous Systems graduate certificate you will learn the methods and algorithms used to design robots and autonomous systems that interact safely and effectively in dynamic environments.
The certificate is relevant to numerous emerging fields, including self-driving cars and drones, robotic planetary exploration, aerial surveillance systems, and even the design and coordination of urban transportation networks and air traffic control systems.

Who Should Apply
- Engineers and other technical professionals who are interested in developing deep expertise in robotics and autonomous systems.
- A conferred Bachelor’s degree with an undergraduate GPA of 3.5 or better
- Courses in this certificate may require CS106A or equivalent
- College calculus, linear algebra; basic probability; probability theory; statistics
Earning the Certificate
- Tailor the certificate to your interests and career goals--elective concentrations available in decision making, dynamics and control, and perception and sensor fusion
- You must take the two required courses, and any two elective courses from the options available
- Begin your certificate any academic quarter that an applicable course is offered
- Take courses for graduate credit and a grade
- Receive a B (3.0) or better in each course
